🗡 A Brief History 🗡
Many years ago...The Great Swamp King ruled over Mt. Gold and its lush, fertile land. The inhabitants of the mountain bowed before their king in great admiration, as he took up the role of not only ruler, but defender of the mountain. Together-
with his army of golden golem soldiers, the mountain village was kept safe from attackers for many years. However, over the generations of rulers, the golden army slowly dwindled and began to lose their luster. Many of the newer golems exhibited more and more iron traits as-
opposed to their usual golden sheen. One past king, King Sporan, could no longer appreciate his golems in their silver hue, and so had any golem showing traits of iron genes destroyed to make use of their metal for other things. The consequences of the king's ruling quickly
affected the villagers, as fewer and fewer golems were left to defend them due to the selfishness of their king. Eventually, the villagers were driven off from their swampy land, and those that remained were slowly killed by monsters and raid parties. King Sporan, now left without his-
kingdom, fled the mountain with the few remaining golden golems of his army. In modern times, iron golems still have specks of their original golden material dotted throughout their bodies, as a symbol of what they used to be. They may be able to live forever with the-
maintenance and direction of a kind soul...
